TOP SCORE STONEMASONS
The Skilled Craftsmen Who Created Dockroyd Graveyard
A study of the Dockroyd Graveyard burial records reveals an exceptionally high number of men who spent their lives occupied as stonemasons, monumental masons, stone carver, gravestone maker, mason, gravestone cutter or stonemason’s labourer.
This book tells the family stories of the twenty Monumental Masons whose names are found engraved on the headstones and memorials within Dockroyd Graveyard.
Their skills are illustrated in the companion book HEADSTONE SYMBOLS EXPLAINED.
Many of the TOP SCORE STONEMASONS have a historic affiliation with THE MILLSTACK CAFÉ and THE STONEMASONS HOUSE.
This publication has been made possible with the support of the Rotary in Keighley and Worth Valley Community Grant
